Destiny 2 - Solstice of heroes and weekly reset - 06/07/2021

Destiny 2 - Solstice of Heroes, a massive mid-season update, Vault of Glass difficulty options, and weekly reset - all launch today; 06/07/2021.

As you know, Season of the Splicer is well underway with the majority of roadmap content already being released, aside from the epilogue and any potentially unreleased content, this is likely to be the biggest thing left for us to play through.

What Bungie has to say on this year's Solstice of Heroes?

"Each day of the month-long event will be assigned an element. Guardians will need to match their attacks with the daily element in order to charge one of four unique elemental buffs. On Prism days, Guardians can charge all four buffs, but can only activate one at a time.

In addition to the upgradable class-specific Solstice armor, this year's Solstice of Heroes introduces a new Legendary Shotgun, Exotic Ghost Shell, emblem, and Solstice Packages filled with goodies. Eververse offers up glowing universal ornaments for Silver or Bright Dust, matched to the Guardian's equipped subclass. New ships, Sparrows, and cosmetics will also be up for collection!"

Vault Of Glass difficulty options.

This doesn't take a lot to explain... the Vault Of Glass raid is getting difficulty options with the introduction of master mode, which goes live at reset today. (possibly as you are reading this.)

"Raids fall squarely into the endgame space of Destiny, providing aspirational content for fireteams of six to conquer. Once you’ve climbed the mountain and planted your flag, you may find yourself asking, “What’s next?”

Well, I’m here today to let you know that you haven’t summited the mountain just yet. If you truly wish to call yourself a master of the Vault of Glass, you’ll be challenged to earn that respect." -dmg04

With the introduction of master mode, players can finally get their hands on the Fatebreaker raid title and seal, Timelost weapons, finally you will also get access to the Bungie rewards pin.
